One more of the links that connected so many of the old families of Sussex county has been broken by the death of Daniel E. Everitt, at his home in Montague, on Tues. Dec. 8. He was 80 years of age on June 3, last, and death resulted from old age and general debility. He was born and always lived in the locality where he died. He belonged to the well known Everitt family of Montague. His wife was Anna Maria Creveling, who died three years ago. He was a member of the Reformed Church of Montague the pastor of which, Rev. Andrew J. Meyer, officiated at his funeral on Dec. 11th. Interment was in the Laurel Grove cemetery in Port Jervis, NY. Mr Everitt is survived by four children as follows: Rosanna D., wife of John W. Wood of Matamoras; John A. Everitt, of Montague; Harry C. Everitt, who lives on the old homestead and where his father died; Mary E., wife of Alfred C. Struble, of Branchville; and one brother, Robert H. Everitt.
